MEET JA'NAI JETER
Ja’nai Jeter loves the Triple Play program. She loves to play basketball, and the Boys & Girls Club of Newark (BGCN) gives her the opportunity to do so daily. This year, she was introduced to double-dutch for the first time by world champion coach and staff team member, Geraldine Code. Ja’nai loves that the Club allows her to be active and offers her more than one way to stay fit and have fun.
Ja’nai’s favorite staff member is Ms. Ladriah Donaldson, because Ms. Donaldson highlights the kids for their achievements and talks to them every day about being good role models, as well as how to work hard to achieve what they want in life. Ja’nai credits the Club with helping her do well in school for the past 3 years. She gets to set aside an hour each day to focus on her homework during the Power Hour program with the help of a caring adult mentor.
