COVID-19 or Novel Coronavirus

Boys & Girls Club of Newark has implemented an aggressive cleaning schedule multiple times throughout the day, before, during, and after programs end at all sites.

We will follow all local, state, and federal government guidelines/protocols - as well as the guidance of health officials. Our stance is to operate with an "abundance of caution." Download our COVID-19 Management Plan for more detail on how we'll respond to a variety of situations related to preventing the spread of the virus.

Program Closures and Suspension of Services

Due to growing concerns related to COVID-19, Boys & Girls Club of Newark has made the decision to suspend programs and services beginning on March 16th. BGCN expects to remain closed through the end of academic year. We are planning to launch summer program registration soon. Saturday specialty programs will also be suspended as well until further notice. Program staff will provide updates to parents and members as information changes.

Welcome to the Boys & Girls Club of Newark!

We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to build a great future for themselves, by achieving success in school, developing a strong character, and living a healthy lifestyle.

Great Futures Start with

Academic Success!

Staff at BGCN are not only committed to helping children increase their academic productivity and feel positive about their school accomplishments, they also provide an empathetic ear, and serve as positive role-models.

Great Futures Start with

Healthy Lifestyles!

BGCN believes in addressing the needs of the "whole child" - we house a free dental clinic, eye care center and family wellness center at our Clubhouse, and our programs focus on cultivating healthy habits in our children.

Great Futures Start with

Good Character!

BGCN empowers children to make good choices, sustain meaningful relationships with peers and caring adults, develop a positive self-image, and become productive, engaged members of the Newark community.
